each ribbon is plant dyed and hand torn. each piece is totally unique, even within the same batch.

the raw edge means the silk can fray if it catches. gently pull any loose ends away. you can trim the raw edge if you prefer a sharp finish.

water can mark the silk. avoid water where possible, however you will find the patterned look of the silks can disguise markings well. the silk has been treated and colour should not bleed.

you can iron out creases with heat under 150 degrees celsius. i use a hair straightener!

however plant dye is fragile, and sun or high heat exposure will shift the colours. plant dye is ephemeral and will eventually fade with time.

the silks are compostable, as is the tissue paper and washi tape from our packaging.
